Trust Part 2
Confidence Brings Trust.
Once upon a time we had confidence to leave the house with our doors unlocked and to park our car without locking it. We were trusting in the inherent goodness of people. We trusted our neighborhood. We were confident that people would not allow thieves to flourish.
As time went on, we became more and more isolated. We were no longer involved with others. As a result, we no longer watched out for each other. We could no lounger assume that we were safe because of our neighbors. We mostly didn't even know our neighbors.
Here is the problem and the solution. If we can recognize that our neighbors are valuable people, we will get to know them. When we do, we will begin to build trust.
