Do You Know of any Disease Caused by the Lack of a Drug?
It is an interesting thing that in the United States, it is illegal to say that food can cure, treat or mitigate any disease. Only drugs can treat or mitigate a disease. Have you heard of any drug that actually heals a disease? I haven’t. Of course, I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV, but I have heard of drugs that treat or mitigate diseases, but you have to take them the rest of your life.
Of course, you have to take food the rest of your life also, so that does not disqualify a drug just because you take it forever.
But back to my main question, do you know of any disease that is caused by a deficiency of any drug?
I ask that because scurvy is caused by a deficiency of Vitamin C. Yet when people say that vitamin C is necessary, they are mocked by the drug industry.
Then there is pellagra. This is caused by a deficiency of a B-Vitamin (Niacin).
And how about beriberi? Caused by the lack of another B-Vitamin (Thiamine).
So isn’t it strange that in these specific cases, supplements do cure a disease, but supplements in general are not allowed to make medical claims?
Name one disease caused by the lack of any drug.
