About Rick Barton

Hi.

Glad you stopped by to learn a little about me.

The first thing I want you to know is that I am happily married to an amazing woman.

My Sweetie and I

She is my second wife. My first marriage ended after 37 years when my precious Sharon tired of fighting ovarian cancer and went home to be with our Lord. Pat and I are going for a record, so that means I must live to over 100 years. Fortunately, we found an incredible supplement that actually slows the rate of aging on the cellular level. So we will be married for at least 40 years (I like round numbers).

Between us, we have (as of 2016) five children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. It is rare for blended families to get along, or so I am told. Well, we all do. Pat has two boys from a previous (a long time ago) marriage and I have two boys and a girl from my first marriage. Actually, they are no longer boys and girls. They are fine young men and women. Pat's oldest son and my youngest live the closest to us - less than half an hour by car. Pat's other son and my eldest live a little over an hour's drive away. My daughter lives the furthest away in California.

We have some four-legged children also.

My four-legged son, Fearless Charles.

Our four-legged daughter, Portia d'Love

Our Newest Baby

Our second four-legged daughter, Nora Catherine

Cleopatra

Our third four-legged daughter, Cleopatra.

We are learning to be better people and are on a journey to improve ourselves and make the world a better place one life at a time.

Our Master Key blog is about that journey.

Come along with us.

If we could only share one thing more with you about us, it would be Rick (Pops) loved his first wife, who died of ovarian cancer after they had been married for 37 years. His youngest son and sweet granddaughter helped him through a very difficult time. Then God blessed Rick with a second wife, whom he loves very much. We want to set a new record for marital bliss, so Rick plans to live well past one hundred. Our family has grown and Pat and Rick have five children (all grown), ten grandchildren (some in high school, some in college, and one married) and one great-granddaughter.

Aside from that we’re avid readers. We also love science fiction movies and books. Rick was an Air force pilot, a life insurance agent (Certified Life Underwriter), a computer instructor, and a consultant. Pat has worked in many industries: clothing, jewelry, shoes and administration.

The best thing about having our own business is the rich association with positive people and the camaraderie at industry conferences. We enjoy the company and friendships we have made in this industry. For us, it all started when we saw a 2005 ABC Prime Time report on a little yellow pill that could literally turn back the clock in our cells. Our doctor had recommended it to us, and we are glad he did.
